Growatt 12 kW Split-Phase 120/240 V Off-Grid Inverter-Charger
A 12 kW low-frequency off-grid inverter for a 48 V battery bank, with split-phase 120/240 V output, a built-in 120 A MPPT solar charger and a 100 A charger from a generator or the grid. The size for a full off-grid house or a shop: it starts a well pump, a central air unit or a compressor on its 36 kW surge, and its copper transformer takes the abuse of motor loads that high-frequency inverters cannot.
The MPPT accepts up to 7,000 W of panels at up to 250 V DC, and you can set solar or grid as the priority source and schedule charging from the AC input, so a generator runs only when it must. Transfer between sources is under 10 ms, so the house does not notice. It works with LiFePO4 and lead-acid banks, monitors over Wi-Fi or GPRS, and is listed to UL 1741 and CSA C22.2 No. 107.1. 97 percent peak efficiency; IP21, so it mounts indoors in a dry, ventilated space; about 75 kg (165 lb); 2-year warranty.
Size the battery for the 12 kW: a 48 V LiFePO4 bank of 200 Ah or more, and 4/0 AWG battery cable with a 300 A fuse or breaker.
