LiFePO4 Batteries

Deep-cycle LiFePO4 batteries from 10 Ah to 200 Ah at 12 V, plus 24 V and 48 V options, for RVs, boats, cabins, trolling motors, ice-fishing and backup. Lithium iron phosphate is the chemistry to choose where a battery lives indoors or near people: it does not vent, tolerates deep discharge, and gives thousands of cycles.

The small 10 Ah and 18 Ah units run fish finders, lights and radios. The 100 Ah and 200 Ah batteries are house-bank sizes for an RV or cabin; wire two or four in series with our wiring kits for a 24 V or 48 V bank, or buy the RV packages, which bundle the batteries with a 3,000 W inverter.

Every listing states the continuous discharge current and BMS protection so you can match the battery to the inverter it will feed. Chargers, interconnect cables and disconnects are under battery accessories; for a home energy-storage battery on a hybrid inverter see residential ESS batteries.

Estimate the energy you need: watts × hours of use for each appliance, added up for the day. Usable capacity in Wh is roughly battery volts × amp-hours. Plan extra capacity for cloudy days and avoid sizing to exactly 100% depth of discharge.

Can I mix a new battery with an older one?

It is not recommended. Batteries in parallel or series should be the same model, capacity and age.

Can lithium batteries charge below freezing?

Standard LiFePO4 cells should not be charged below 0 °C (32 °F). Use a self-heating model or keep the battery in a heated space for cold climates.

Will a LiFePO4 battery work with my existing charger?

Only if the charger or controller has a lithium (LiFePO4) charging profile. Check the charge voltages in the battery datasheet.
