Growatt MIN 10000TL-XH-US (WL) (TRS-T) (V3) 10 kW Grid-Tie Battery-Ready Inverter

A 10 kW single-phase grid-tie inverter for a large roof of twenty-two to forty-four 450 W panels, battery-ready for a Growatt APX or ARO high-voltage battery and whole-home backup. 98.3 percent peak efficiency, 97.5 percent CEC.

The MIN XH-US is Growatt's battery-ready grid-tie inverter for US homes: it works as a plain string inverter on day one, and becomes a backup system when a Growatt APX or ARO high-voltage battery and the XH backup box are added later, without replacing the inverter. It can be DC-coupled (panels and battery on the inverter) or AC-coupled onto an existing solar system, runs self-consumption, zero-export, time-of-use and off-grid modes, and can dark-start from the battery with the grid down. Rapid shutdown and arc-fault protection are built in, it conforms to UL 1741 SA/SB, IEEE 1547 and CA Rule 21 (HECO compliant), is certified to CSA C22.2 No. 107.1 and UL 9540, and mounts indoors or out in a NEMA 4X (IP65) case with natural convection cooling and no fan. Monitoring is by Wi-Fi and LAN through the Growatt app; 4G is optional.

Sizing: Four MPP trackers with two strings each (eight inputs), 600 V maximum PV voltage, 80 V startup, 13.5 A input current per tracker (16.9 A short-circuit), and a 2.0 DC/AC ratio, so up to 20 kW of panels. Output is 10,000 W at 240 V (8,735 W at 208 V) with 42 A maximum output current.

Battery and backup: Battery port is 360–550 V (380–550 V for APX), 28.6 A, 10.3 kW charge or discharge, enough to run the whole house from the battery. Compatible with Growatt APX (5–30 kWh) and Growatt ARO (6.6–39.6 kWh) batteries. Backup output is 10,000 W continuous with 15,800 VA peak, and it supports motor loads up to 5.5 HP.

Which version: this model ships as Whole Home Backup (V3), which has a single on-grid AC port and backs up the main panel through the SYN 200-XH-US-13A transfer switch; the backup box, battery and smart meter are sold separately. The inverter weighs 45.2 lb, measures 15.8 × 25.2 × 7.4 in, and carries Growatt's 10-year warranty, extendable to 15 or 20 years.
